Far Cry 5 is a very engaging Open-World FPS and takes place in a stunning world that feels alive. Go and confront the Cult that is terrorizing the citizens, or just fish. It’s really up to you.

The last time I played a Far Cry game it was Blood Dragon, and from what I have seen from this game that was a mistake! It was so engaging and the setting so gorgeous I almost never used the fast travel system! I had such a hard time putting it down I ended up beating it over a weekend, and it was worth it. I have continued to play it to complete the side missions and just wandering around.

Far Cry 5 is an open-world FPS set in my neighbour to the south, The United States of America specifically the state of Montanna in the fictional Hope County. There you will encounter a cult that has grown dangerously powerful lead by Joseph Seed and his family. They are terrorizing the citizens and it is your job to fight against the cult!… Or wander the rolling hills… Or go hunting and fishing… Or fly a plane around… Or just leave… The point I am trying to get at here is you can really do whatever you want and not feel bored.

If you do choose to fight and gradually take back the county you will travel through beautiful mountainsides, valleys, rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds. There are in-game characters you will encounter who will stand by your side and join in your rampage. You can have Snipers, fighters, gunners, a dog, a cougar, or even a freaking bear along your side giving out a helping hand.

You can play in solo or in co-op with a friend to help you destroy the cultists!… Or a hiking buddy, safety in numbers after all 😉
